Pastor Krause came to Mt Olive in 1990 from Minesota. He and his wife Julie have three daughters: Katie, Rachel and Sarah. Other than his height (6'8") Pastor Krause is known for his affirming and empowering nature. He truly sees and brings out the best in people.

 

 

 

Korey came to Mt Olive in 2005. As the Director of Discipleship she administrates adult education, small group ministry, and assimilation programs. Her husband James is formerly a Lutheran school teacher and now serves as a firefighter/EMT in Belvidere. Korey and James have two children: Elizabeth and Moriah. Korey has many gifts a few of which are teaching, keen insight, and the ability to get to the heart of a matter.

 

Bill came to Mt Olive in 2007. He serves as the Director of Outreach and Missions and administers the Saturday Lay Training Institute. Prior to coming to Mt Olive he taught at Concordia University Chicago and served as the Director of the Director of Christian education program at the university. Bill's gift is teaching and he is known for his in-depth knowledge of  Scripture and his servant witness.

 

Dave started at Mt Olive the summer of 2008 and works primarily with the Junior High and Senior High Youth. His wife Gwen is a preschool teach at Got Kidz Child Care in Belvidere. Dave brings a lot of creativity and youthfulness to the team as he begins his life of professional service in the Kingdom.

 

 

Julie brings a lot to the table. She is a gifted muscian with her main instruments being piano and organ. She is a gifted singer and arranger of music. Julie holds a Master's degree in special education. WOW! She also is the wife of our pastor (perhaps her most challenging as well as her most rewarding role).

 

 

 

 

Jody serves as our Parish Nurse coordinating Mt Olive's health ministries. She also works full time as a Registered Nurse at St. Anthony's Hospital. She and her husband Don have three daughters: Maggie, Lisa, and Hannah. A real strength of Jody's is her big heart for people.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mary has been on staff in Mt Olive's Preschool since 2000. She has been a teacher for over 35 years, spending about 30 of those years working in preschools. Mary and her husband Henry live in Loves Park.

 

 

 

 

Julie is trained as a Lutheran School teacher and started at Mt Olive as a preschool teacher in 1991. In 2002 she became the church's secretary and in 2004 she directed the Daycare Center. In2006 she came back as a church secretary. Julie's husband Tim is a teacher at Rockford Lutheran Schools. Julie and Tim have three daughters: Hannah, Katrina, and Laura. A couple of Julie's strengths are her genuine cheerfulness and helpful spirit, along with her artistic creativity.
